DCMH Scholarship
The Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) scholarship program is intended for the education of individuals interested in a healthcare-related field. DCMH is committed to helping prepare healthcare professionals for the future and offers a scholarship program as a recruitment tool and a community service. DCMH offers one-time scholarships of $1000 each, to be awarded on an annual basis.
Candidate must be a graduating resident of Decatur County, accepted into a healthcare-related vocational or college program consistent with the needs of our local community, and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours. Medical Student Tuition Assistance Program
The Hospital Foundation of Decatur County Medical Student Tuition Assistance Program is intended each academic year to award up to $20,000.00 per semester tuition assistance to up to two individuals who graduated from a high school in Decatur County or surrounding counties. That student must also agree to return and practice medicine in Decatur County. The Foundation is committed to helping prepare healthcare professionals for the future and offers a program as a recruitment tool and a community service.
Along with a local graduate, the candidate must be actively enrolled on a full-time basis in a medical school approved by the Indiana Medical Licensing Board; pursuing a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine; agree to practice medicine in Decatur County upon completion of medical school and residency; and authorize the applicant’s medical school to release transcripts to the Foundation to verify compliance with eligibility requirements.
