Decatur County Memorial Hospital welcomes board-certified Laura Greiwe, FNP-C, to the Family Medicine team at Decatur County Family Medicine, located in the new Rehabilitation & Medical Offices building. Laura received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University, her Master of Arts in Health Communication from Purdue University, and her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Northern Kentucky University.
With over 14 years of clinical experience working in primarily rural locations, Laura is now ready to aid Decatur County. Laura is originally from Batesville, is knowledgeable about the community served by DCMH, and she and her family still reside in Batesville. In her free time, Laura enjoys spending time with her husband, three active children, and two very well-loved dogs. Whether they are traveling, going to concerts, or watching football, they love exploring the world together – even if simply spending time in Southeastern Indiana.
“Working for a rural hospital allows me to have a direct impact on our community and serve a role in providing accessible healthcare to underserved areas,” said Greiwe, “I also appreciate DCMH’s core values, focusing on integrity, compassion, quality, and community. These are the values that inspired me to go into healthcare and they are principles I will bring to my patient care.”
Executive Director of Physician Practices and Support Services Amy Wickens said, “Laura’s ability to create a welcoming and supportive environment for her patients allows them to feel heard and valued. Laura offers not just medical care, but also a partnership in maintaining and enhancing your well-being.”
At Decatur County Family Medicine, Decatur County Primary Care, and Tree City Medical Partners, DCMH’s practitioners provide a wide range of care, including pediatrics, obstetrics, mental health, chronic conditions, and more. Focused on your well-being, these collaborative teams prioritize delivering top-quality, consistent care during each visit.
