Youth are invited to sign up to walk or ride with a Veteran they bring to the parade — or to walk or ride with a Veteran already in attendance at the parade\n10:00 a.m. | Attendees and Veterans can arrive at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home (Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home can allow attendees to stand inside if inclement weather)\n11:00 a.m. | The parade starts at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home and proceeds to the flag poles on the south side of the square\n11:45 a.m. | A short ceremony will be held\nPost-Parade Lunch | DCMH will provide lunch made by CP Tavern at American Legion Post 129 at 326 E Main St\, Greensburg\n\nAll are invited and welcome to attend — No RSVP for lunch or the parade necessary. \n

DESCRIPTION:Weight Loss Program Customized to Meet Your GoalsWeigh Beyond is a program designed to promote healthy behavior changes that encourage weight loss and a healthy lifestyle through one-on-one coaching and structured exercise plans. \n\n\n\n\n\nPrice: $125 for 10 weeks which includes: \n\nBody composition analysis (pre and post program)\nAccess to the Decatur County YMCA\, three times a week (during the program)\nFood and fitness journal\nProgram workbook\nRegular one-on-one coaching with a registered dietitian (RD)\n5 group classes focusing on various topics such as: healthy lifestyle changes\, setting realistic goals\, building a balanced plate\, physical activity guidelines\, mindful eating\, emotional eating\, heart healthy basics\, portion control\, menu planning\, eating out\, and more!\nWeekly weigh-in\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis 10 week program is held Wednesday evenings from 5-6 pm at the YMCA HealthConnect building in Greensburg\, IN. SUMMARY:Diabetes Education Classes - November - Class 1
DESCRIPTION:Diabetes can be controlled and the progression of complications delayed with an individual treatment program that includes diet\, exercise\, and/or medication. \nDiabetes classes offered at Decatur County Memorial Hospital are designed to teach the person with diabetes and his/her family more about the disease and how to implement lifestyle changes to avoid complications. A Registered Dietitian and Pharmacist teach sessions each quarter that follow curriculum standards of the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES) Diabetes Education Accreditation Program (DEAP). \n\n\n\n\nClass Topics Include: \n\nOverview of diabetes\nHealthy eating with a focus on: Meal planning\, portion control\, food and nutrient groups\, restaurant eating\, carbohydrate counting\, and much more!\nRole of exercise in treatment\nMedications available to treat diabetes\nBlood glucose testing and monitoring\nWays to reduce risks for short and long term complications\nProblem solving and goal setting\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach session consists of a series of three – two hour classes and registration is required to attend the classes. Classes are covered by most insurance companies. Please call your insurance company for coverage details. \n\n\n\n\nTo register or for more information\, call 812-663-1341. You must register in order to participate in the class.
