Ambulance Services
Decatur County Memorial Hospital operates ambulances to serve the Decatur County community. These ambulances are used for emergency transport to the hospital’s emergency room as well as transportation to other medical facilities.
Emergency Department
The emergency department is intended for critical care and medical emergencies. Some symptoms that warrant a visit to the emergency room include:
- Chest pain
- Coughing or vomiting blood
- Deep cuts or bleeding that will not stop
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- High fevers
- Numbness in the face, arm, or leg
- Seizures
- Severe abdominal pain
- Severe burns
- Sudden blurred vision
- Sudden dizziness, weakness, or loss of coordination or balance
- Sudden, severe headache
- Any other condition you believe is life threatening
Immediate Care Clinic
Visit our urgent care, Immediate Care Clinic, for immediate medical attention. We offer quick, walk-in services for non-life-threatening conditions, providing fast and comprehensive care when you need it most. The DCMH Immediate Care Clinic sees patients 4 months of age and older. The Immediate Care Clinic offers a wide range of services, including treatment of:
- Common illnesses such as colds, flu-like symptoms, ear aches, sore throats, fever, or rashes
- Minor injuries such as sprains, back pain, minor cuts and burns, minor broken bones, or minor eye injuries
