Medical Records
The Health Information Management (HIM)/Medical Records department at Decatur County Memorial Hospital is responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive, centralized medical record system for healthcare services provided by DCMH. HIM/Medical Records also provides functional support to all components of the hospital with respect to health information services.
The department is committed to the timely and accurate collection of health information and its maintenance, storage, retention, and disclosure. The professionals in HIM/Medical Records ensure such information is kept private, secure, and in accordance with federal and state laws.
