From supporting local youth and agriculture to helping fairgoers stay cool during a hot week, Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) was proud to serve as the largest sponsor of the Decatur County 4-H Fair.
Throughout the week, DCMH welcomed visitors to its booth, offering free blood pressure screenings and complimentary health and wellness items, including bottled water, handheld fans, ice packs, and other resources to help fairgoers beat the summer heat.
Visitors also had the opportunity to enter daily prize drawings featuring items designed to support healthy living and family fun. Prizes included gift certificates to Ricke’s Meat & Market for fresh local meat and produce, a 55-inch television, a frozen dessert maker, and a tower fan.
This year, DCMH was honored to sponsor 26 local 4-H exhibitors, including11 dairy cattle exhibitors, five poultry exhibitors, four swine exhibitors, three goat exhibitors, two steer exhibitors, and one rabbit exhibitor.
“We have tremendous respect for our farming community and for the values that 4-H helps instill,” said Christy Norton, DCMH Executive Director of Revenue Cycle. “Their hard work, responsibility, and commitment are inspiring, and we’re honored to support them as they continue those traditions.”
